The Empty Man
Back in 2016, I was recommended by Alec Gillis, which led to my collaboration with director David Prior in bringing The Empty Man to life. Guided by David's notes, I designed and sculpted the cave skeleton and contributed to the "manifestation" creature. The Empty Man is based on the comic book series created by writer Cullen Bunn and artist Vanesa R. Del Rey, published by Boom! Studios.
The Tomorrow War
Back in early 2019, I had the pleasure of collaborating for several weeks with director Chris McKay and production designer Peter Wenham to design the menacing White Spikes. My concepts served as the base look of the creatures, which were later brought to life with the talented teams at Weta Digital, Luma Pictures, Framestore, Method Studios, and Spectral Motion.
Godzilla vs. Kong
In 2018, I had the pleasure of joining the design team at Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc., where we worked on the hollow earth creatures for the film. Our team, led by Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff, included Bryan Wynia, Justice Joseph, Xander Smith, and myself. I was specifically responsible for designing the "Rock Critter" and an unused swamp creature called "Shimidah."
The Death Cure
I was thrilled to contribute to all the films in the Maze Runner trilogy. For the third installment, director Wes Ball entrusted me with designing the menacing character Lawrence, portrayed by Walton Goggins. StudioADI and Weta Digital then brought my design to life through makeup effects and digital nose removal.
Volkswagen - Alien
I had the pleasure of collaborating with the SWISS team on this Volkswagen commercial. The creatiure design was a collaborative effort between myself, responsible for the body, and artist Leo Wilk, who handled the head design. I then translated the approved design into a 3D model.
Scorch Trials
In 2014, director Wes Ball invited me to collaborate on his next project, helping to establish the look of the Cranks. As one of the film’s original designers, I laid the groundwork for their design. Later, the talented teams at StudioADI and Weta Digital brought the Cranks to life through both makeup and CGI effects.
The Maze Runner
In late 2012, director Wes Ball offered me the opportunity to design the mechanical creatures known as Grievers for the film. I also contributed to the design of several other elements, including the Maze, Beetle Blade and Cranks. As the project evolved, Method Studios came on board and brought my designs to life.
