The Empty Man
Back in 2016, I was honored to be recommended by Alec Gillis, which led to my collaboration with director David Prior in bringing the Empty Man to life. Guided by David's notes, I assumed the role of designing and sculpting the cave skeleton and making contributions to the ''manifestation'' creature. The Empty Man is based on a comic book series created by writer Cullen Bunn and artist Vanesa R. Del Rey, published by Boom! Studios.
The Tomorrow War
I had the absolute thrill of designing the menacing White Spikes for 'The Tomorrow War.' Back in early 2019, I had the pleasure of collaborating for several weeks with director Chris McKay and production designer Peter Wenham. I laid the groundwork for the design, and later the aliens came to life through a collaborative effort among the teams at Weta Digital, Luma Pictures, Framestore, Method Studios, and Spectral Motion.
Godzilla vs. Kong
In 2018, I had the privilege of joining the design team at Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc., entrusted with the task of designing the hollow earth creatures for the film. Our team included myself, Bryan Wynia, Justice Joseph, and Xander Smith. I was specifically responsible for designing the 'Rock Critter' and a unused swamp-dwelling creature named 'Shimidah.'
The Death Cure
I'm absolutely thrilled to have had the opportunity to contribute to all the films in the Maze Runner trilogy. For the third installment, director Wes Ball entrusted me with the task of designing the menacing character, Lawrence, portrayed by the talented actor Walton Goggins. Upon completing the character design, StudioADI and Weta Digital skillfully employed my work for the makeup effects and digital nose removal.
Scorch Trials
In 2014, director Wes Ball extended another invitation to collaborate, this time to help establish the appearance of the formidable Cranks. As one of the original designers on the film, I was laying the groundwork for the design. Later on, the talented teams at StudioADI and Weta Digital joined the project and brought the Cranks to life in both makeup and CGI effects.
The Maze Runner
In late 2012, director Wes Ball offered me the opportunity to design the mechanical creatures known as Grievers for the film. Additionally, I had the privilege of contributing to the design of several other elements, such as the Maze, Beetle Blade, and Cranks. As the project evolved, Method Studios joined the project and employed my designs for the visual effects.
