Still feels surreal to have taken home two Concept Art Awards last Saturday at LightBox in Los Angeles. It’s a big honor and I’m very humbled and grateful.
My birthday was actually one day after, so I couldn’t wish for a better present!
I was honored with three nominations at the 2024 Concept Art Awards:
- - Live-Action Feature Film - Creature: Turtle Wrestler (Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom, Warner Bros. Pictures)
- - Live-Action Feature Film - Creature: Sea Beast (Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom, Warner Bros. Pictures)
- - Independent - Creature: The Guardian
Thank you so much to the Concept Art Association. It was very inspiring to see Concept Art celebrated and the hard work of fellow artists recognized.
One of the awards was for my work on Aquaman: And The Lost Kingdom, in the category ''Live-Action Feature Film - Creature''. I want to thank producer Rob Cowan and director James Wan for having me on board for the film.
I also want to extend my gratitude to the judges and the other nominees. Everyone deserved the win and I’m honored to have been nominated alongside such talented artists.
Special thanks to Constantine Sekeris and Zachary Berger for presenting the categories and for their kind words, it truly meant a lot to me.
